Once you have your pages divided with lines, you can choose to fill in the spaces with color. The color can be transparent or solid. Use what you have - watercolor, acrylic paint or paint pens, water based markers, crayon, or color pencils. I fill in the entire page, but you could choose to only fill in select spaces. The filled in spaces of color can become backgrounds for doodling.
